4º PRETTY BOY FLOYD

El siguiente grupo es uno de mis preferidos, tienen una música bastante ruda y me recuerdan bastante a motley crue con sus riffs de guitarra, la batería y el bajo contundente y su voz chillona.

Originalmente la banda se llamaba Doll y era formada por Kerry Doll (vocal), Aeriel Stiles (guitarrista), Vinnie Chas (bajista) y Kari Kane (baterista).
Doll sólo grabó algunos demos.

Su nombre cambió a Pretty Boy Floyd en 1987, cuando Kerry Doll fue reemplazado por el vocalista Steve "Sex" Summers. Luego, Aeriel Stiles fue reemplazado por el guitarrista Kristy Majors.

Dos canciones, con sus respectivos videos, fueron los responsables de la fama de Pretty boy floyd: I wanna be with you y Rock and roll (is gonna set the night on fire).

Pretty Boy Floyd tuvo una disputa legal, con una banda canadiense llamada de la misma forma, quienes fueron obligados a cambiar su nombre a Tommi Floyd.

Dos de sus canciones estuvieron en dos películas: 48 Hours fue incluida en Karate Kid III, mientras que Slam Dunk apareció en el soundtrack de Switch.

A pesar de todo ésto, en 1991, dejaron de recibir el apoyo que necesitaban de su discográfica, sumando las peleas dentro de la banda, fueron las causas de su separación.

El disco trae el cover a Mötley crüe, Toast of the town, junto con grandes canciones.
Ésta versión del disco salió el 2003 e incluye algunos bonus. Incluyendo el cover a The Ramones, I just wanna have something to do.

Gran disco, gran banda.

Hace poco tuve el placer de poder verlos en directo, y si os digo la verdad fue impresionante, uno de los mejores conciertos de mi vida hasta la fecha.
